Question Radio Cassette Replacement

Suddenly, the OEM Radio/Cassette for my Discovery 2 stop working! I removed from the dash to see if the fuse was borken but was not the case. A technician guy told me that I need a replacement, there is nothing he can do to fix it.

I went to ebay, I found a several auctions but my question here is that I remember when I bought the truck at the dealer they provide me a RESET CODE. If I buy a used one at ebay, does the radio after plug in all the wire will ask me the code?

I appreciatte your advise here before I go to ebay

Thx

To answer your question yes you need the security code if you stay with a Rover radio.
If you buy a aftermarket stereo and have that installed then no, you do not need a security code.

You can get the code from for an OEM stereo from a Land Rover dealer if you provide them with a copy of your title verifying ownership and the radio so they can get the serial number off of it.
