Found some ambition today, funny how that stuff shows up...when l decide to stay home and not waste it at work.

Started running some wires and put a little wood on the ceiling. Went with 1/4 inch cedar tongue and groove, lighter than pine and adds a little contrast. Tongue oil on everything. Think l may have over-bought.

Plus, the tongue oil kind of darken the rear door panel more than expected...so the cedar kind of pulls it all together.

Cedar...

Slowly getting there. One small issue, that l wish there would have been some brain cells used on prior. Need a fridge. When l told my infusion girl that l believed Alaska was going to happen soon...she said she would get me some injections, one a week...so l have to keep 12 injectors refridgerated. Hope to leave shortly after my next infusion, which is good for a month. So, total....that will give me three and a half months to monkey fart around, getting to and getting home.

Looking at something like this...

That's all for today folks.

headliner looks great. The cedar was a nice touch, I agree. Without knowing the size of that fridge I would very much encourage sizing a fridge to rid you of a cooler...we sort of stumbled into one from friend that moved and it has been the single greatest addition to our camping/wheeling adventures. Not dealing with ice, can bring left overs back to camp if you eat in town etc with zero soggy issues. Now I just need to fit a bigger one with a freezer compartment so the kiddos can have ice cream (anything to make wheeling/camping fun with a toddler also I like ice cream lol)!

Made a cover for broken safari window, paint was not the closest match...hard to find 34 year old nasty patina white on local auto parts store shelves...lol. But it's sealed up.

Finished the cedar paneling on that side...and added led lights to ceiling.

Made panel for dimmer switches. It will be mounted behind C-pilar and wiring harnesses will slide down behind it. Believe l'm going to run cedar along this side just like the other side, granted it will cover safari window...but it's light 19 hours of the day in Alaska...so, l can alway open it up at a later date.

New electrical panel and control module. I'll start wiring things up tomorrow, made a wiring harness for new dome light...but forgot it at work Saturday.

Mounted a jerry can holder.

Still unsure if l'm going to take roof top tent on this trip. Might throw it on and see what it feels like. If it goes on, it will go on back and open as canopy over backdoor.

Finished cedar paneling and lights wired up.

Mounted extra fusebox, this thing is pretty darn sweet. The Defender (aka Victoria) has very, very limited access points for additional fuses in original fuse box. This set up allows for 12 additional circuits. Very clean unit.

Cooler is running on the extra battery, with breaker disconnect from engine battery tripped. We will see in the morning, if l got it wired right...lol.

This old man needs a nap.

Changed cabinet door latches, these are better than the garbage ones that were originally installed...but...l'm getting so, so sick of these cheap a**, poor quality Chinese made hardware.
