4th tire arrived today and all four are mounted up on the wheels. Will get to the hubs here soon and get these bad boys on the truck to rack up a few miles before I get them balanced and an alignment next week. Can't wait to see them on the truck!!
As of now 3 of the 4 hubs have been swapped out and wheels mounted. Really changes the whole feel of the truck. Body work is very much high on the list this spring as these wheels/tires have lit a bit of a fire under my *** to get this truck looking right. I have flares for when I get the body right but saving them until that time, mainly so I can confirm exactly how much trimming will be required in it's final form. Just going to sling everything all over the sides this week in Moab!! Will have lots more photos in the next week or so from that trip.

well got the tires balanced and attempted an alignment…as you can see they left the rear bar upside down and the jam nuts on it were uhh not tightened. Not even close. Got a partial refund before I left but hadn’t noticed the loose jam nuts at that point so they get a very angry phone call in the morning.
got it remedied and it’s off to Moab in the morning. Assuming all goes well the plan is to hit top of the world on the way into town.
Made it to Moab great, truck drove fantastic and 2 minutes after airing down to run Top of the World my distributor decided it didn't want to work anymore. Luckily buddy had a spare, swapped it and drove into town as we didn't have enough daylight left to finish the trial. Of course the truck ran perfect back into town. Will post pictures tomorrow, undecided on what we want to run tomorrow.
Another awesome trip to Moab is in the books! Truck performed incredible on the trail and almost made it home. Alternator went nuclear going up Vail Pass but we made it well within the 200 mile "free" tow with AAA so she more than did her job for a truck that I had driven as far as Boulder once....the new wheels and tires were amazing, and well worth the push to get them mounted and installed. We ran Poison Spider Mesa, Metal Masher and a combo of easier trails to an epic overlook that I won't be naming (not that hard to find if you really look for it out there). The LWB really provides a very stable platform for harder wheeling and really makes you reconsider ever wanting to wheel one of my D2s again. Not to mention it pulled up the highway better with 4 adults and gear out to moab than my white disco ever did with 2 people...that said I need to re-evaluate what I carry on trips as I may have the tools to rebuild anything but definitely not bringing enough spares. Live and learn as we would have had the alternator swapped in 15 min and back on the road home vs a tow truck.

Swapped in a known good used alternator and she fired right up. Visually inspection while old one was out was that nothing else was damaged or the underlying cause, bearing or something must have let go on the old alternator causing it to seize. While it was on it's way out the old alternator and the increased friction was wreaking havoc on how the vehicle was running, issues accelerating around 3k -3600 rpm (tried to die and cut out) and then caused some elevated temps while climbing Vail pass. Haven't driven it yet after swapping the alt out but not expecting any issues. Desperately need to get it to a car wash to wash off what has to be 100lbs of moab dirt/clay/mud/concrete. That red dirt will never fully be off a vehicle after a trip there haha.
Fixed the cutting out the other week. Air gap in the distributer was all out of whack. Honestly a miracle it ran at all let alone almost all the way home from Moab...the two screws holding the gap were completely loose, like backed off multiple turns each. Life's bene busy but she's back up and driving around again and hope to get it out wheeling here shortly. White disco is our camping vehicle so it's been getting some love trying to get it ready for our first trip this weekend and the season.
That time of year again for another trip to Moab this week!! Still a few loose ends to clean up and get the old girl smogged/legal before I leave Thursday. Going to relocate ignition module like it should have been done from factory and was originally on the 95s as I've killed 2 ignition modules on the dizzy now (both old used units). Have a new shifter tape arriving today so hopefully can keep some of the heat and fumes from the trans tunnel just dumping into the cab. Need to check exhaust manifold to downpipe connections, move front diff guard from my white disco over, reinstall front driveshaft after greasing it yesterday, and replace cig lighter with a new working one. ALso have a new adjustable panhard bar that I'd like to throw on if I have time to try and make the highway portions a little more bearable (I have an Adrenalin 4x4 front long arm kit sitting in my shed that will clean up any wobbles and bushings so avoiding throwing any money into bushings for the time being. Just need to find time to get that kit welded and fitted in.)

Couple pics from a trip last summer and then the new ram mount track and phone holder (this will also work for a d2 as it has the same upper dash shape).
