Made some netting for the back door, since temps were in the 90's over the weekend...while camping in Ohio...and l knew the back door would have to stay open. Wife had the brilliant idea of taking a fan, life saver.
Screen is stapled to a 1X1 board and fits/wedged above reardoor. Turned over the bracket that use to secure headliner and it worked as a center support.
Added some steel rod into the loops that I stapled, helps keep the screen taunt.
Once rolled up, it slides into three loosely-looped zip-ties.
Bought the bracket online, but got the jerry can for free from the scrap guy at work. He had them in his trailer and said l could have them (2). Sanded them down and added some paint...like new.
Need to make some extra brackets, so it hangs from two rungs...and can be removed easily.
Brian.

It looks sick, but does it negate being able to use the ladder to climb and get to things on the rack?

Thank you (sick is a good thing...right...lol).
The vertical braces on the tank holder have open slots (top and bottom), so l'm hoping to weld pins on the back side of the lower rung (ladder) that these two slots will rest over, then make an upper bracket that is easily removable that holds the top of the tank. I'm "hoping" to make the upper bracket so it is intact and has no separate pieces that have a tendency of getting lost. Maybe a lever of some sort? Going to study it for a few days, no real rush anyway.
Added a small mast for the radio, it can be folded down.
Mounted up the gas can holder.
Lower braces slip over lowest hung of ladder and have rubber mount...to avoid rattles.
Added foam rubber to bottom and rear/front braces...to avoid rattles.
Upper brackets slip over second hung of ladder and has a cross piece that holds the can holder in place. Used two bolts to attach for now, but will replace one end with a different/removable pin...so l can remove pin...swing the inner bracket upward, to drop the whole assembly off easily.
Added foam to can holder upper strap...to avoid rattles.
View from inside...and yes...changing lanes is definitely more of a challenge now.
I'm going to give it some time, but if it becomes to much of a hazard...it will be removed from ladder.
Brian.
