Progress. I got my block back and the bottom end is complete. Waiting on one head bolt set to put the 2nd head on. Might start going in this weekend. With the deck clearance I'm looking about 10.25:1-10.5:1 compression ratio. Should run nice on premium.
The paint is closer to alveston red than the picture makes it seem. My 4 year old had a great time painting with me. He won't like the disco unless the exhaust is loud. I guess I need some exhaust cutouts to appease him.
I also got pcmhammer to flash a new OS to one of my PCMs... I think this may actually work.

Doesn't the GM motor run on regular gas though? I'd try and and set it up for that rather than having to run on premium

Pretty much ready to go in. I just want to remove some stuff to make the chains easier to attach and then I'll toss it in this week if I get time. There were a couple hickups along the way. The power steering bracket instructions were either incorrect or not clear and we put it on 90* the wrong way (like lost cause ranch did at first), I had to scrounge for some screws that would fit the crank sensor, and the crank sensor required some filing to get it sitting about the 16 thou it calls for. Besides that it just a lot of finding and then cleaning old parts and installing them along with new ones.
