Which Auxbeam bulbs do you use? My headlights are less than great though it might just be that every new car has blindingly bright white lights.

I use the Auxbeam Eagle Series H4/9003 bulb. Fits like OEM, fan is inside vs outside and you have true Hi/Lol beam function.

Installed a set of HD steering bars, haven't heard back from Simon at RTE so not sure if I'll have the steering stabilizer bracket kit by the time I go off road in December. So in the meantime the old beat up but working Pro Comp Steering Stabilizer is back in it's OEM location. Front End alignment is good and she's all ready for the trip in December to Hidden Falls.

Installed a set of Jaguar V12 engine mounts, and replaced a seeping transmission cooler line (short one to cooler in front of radiator). I also installed a set of Ford 4 hole injectors the weekend before. She should be all good to go for her Big Bend adventure in the next few weeks.

Supposed to be more HD vs OEM engine mounts. My OEM ones far surpassed their life span no doubt and they were not busted in half. They had just compacted and shifted down causing my engine to sit lower and constantly destroy the lower fan shroud.... Those are getting hard to find so I finally changed em out.

I've also heard that the 300tdi motor mounts are more beefy options. Have not confirmed that but that was my plan when I inevitably shred another one this summer and yes my fan shroud has seen better days but the upper portion is what's toast. lower is mint still somehow.

Yeah I seriously doubt these will last as long as the OEM ones but they needed replacing so we'll see how they do.

This is a great thread. In many ways, it reminds me of why I started liking the Disco platform: very erector set like and many parts can be rebuilt or reused as opposed to outright replacement.

You may remember my last D2 with the chronicles of all I did to it. Well, I couldn’t stay away and and am getting excited to pick up the next one shortly…

You’ll probably be disappointed in me as I paid a bit of a premium and am getting a nice driver this time.
