Yes URO is awful!! It's actually a transmission/TC skid plate. I only remember seeing them way back in the day from a company called DAP. I haven't seen another one like this in many years. It is extremely well made/designed.

Super jealous of the skid plate! I've been kicking around the idea of making one myself

Yeah I was excited to slap it on! XD has a front skid, safarigard diff guards, and now the trans/tc skid.

I need to solve for a front skid as well but haven't had good luck finding one I like that works with an ARB bumper. Not convinced I will keep that long term as it kills my approach angle...

I live in TX and yep the ARB is bad on approach angles, but big old deer don’t stand a chance with it!! I have 2 D2’s with ARB’s and with a 3inch lift and 32.5inch tires I haven’t had an issue yet off road.

Truck is looking good best. Nice stout looking skid plate too.

Thank you! She’s come a super long way from a little beater around a ranch for 6+ years to cruising down the interstate lol.

One day when the cancer gets terminal I’ll do a full body swap, but for now I’m going to enjoy it. Mechanically & electronically it’s extremely stout! I really lucked out on the skid plate, and great friends are truly nice to have.

Slapped on a replacement D1 spare tire mount I picked up for 8.00 at a salvage yard. I modified it by cutting all 3 lugs down by 1/2 an inch so that I can now use the standard lug D1 lug nuts vs the funky D1 spare tire lug nuts which on my XD were long gone. My original tire mount had 1.5 of the lugs left. Whole job maybe took me 30min from start to finish! Now I’ve got a good non rusted tire mount and I can use the regular lug nuts.

Stuck at the house due to flood waters, and I'm trying to find stuff to do lol. The CDL indicator light never did work on the XD so I crawled under it and found the wires for it dangling back up by the e-brake assembly. One wire had a good tear in it, so I cut them off and connected 2 new leads to them. I then plugged them into the CDL switch & bingo works like a charm now. I wanted that to work especially with the 2019 HCRR event coming up. Didn't need to off road the old gal and then hit the road with the CDL still engaged!

Trimmed the front bumper end caps & the front of the lower plastic rocker trim today, I also went and had an exhaust leak repaired (small leak on a weld at the joint from the Y pipes to the muffler), added some lucas power steering additive to the PS system (small leak at the rear of the PS Box), and now I’m just double checking my off road equipment, trail box, and misc small spare parts. Then I’ll be ready to hit the road on the 3rd & start making my way up to the 2019 HCRR event!
