Florida Rover's 1997 Discovery XD
I had used Seafoam in the crankcase a few weeks back so it was time for an oil change

And finally, the rear bearings!

This was the last major piece of the "neglected" maintenance

Took all of an hour to get them broken down

Both stub axles looked great, painted the mud shield for ease of cleaning

All four corners complete

Also changed fluid in the rear diff and transfer case for the 2nd time

Been driving her for a week, everything seems solid and smooth, hit a quick trail after work yesterday to celebrate!

For $280 it was a no brainier, it bolted right up and the reviews online were decent. I know a couple other people who have used them with success. Will report back after the first few pulls.
Update from the past month;
Another "custom" install done by the PO, this time for the aftermarket trailer plug...

The AB harness isn't exactly cheap but it's freaking plug and play!

I needed to take the boat out a couple more times before it SOLD!

Owned this thing for 10 years, any Correct Craft guys out there??

After getting home from work one afternoon I noticed a small puddle forming under the truck, turns out the expansion tank had split at the seam, time for more parts!

Being down for a few days, I also decided to replace the belt tensioner pulley bearing

The old one was extremely loud, rough, & smelled horrible!

The snap ring had me struggling for at least half an hour

Found this method suggested online, worked like a charm

Pressed in with the old bearing

Seated and secured!

Now she's back to running cold and quiet, spent some time playing in the sand last weekend

Tried to get some footage of a local spot, ended up snapping off the GoPro before my buddy arrived lol, couple nice exhaust notes in this one

Door seals are from a D2, 97% perfect fit and readily available at your local junkyard!
Haven't done a whole lot on the truck lately. Went to Colorado and rented a yellow Jeep

Drove it up Gunsight Road, you can see it parked down to the left there

After quieting down the idler pulley I was able to locate this obvious vacuum leak

Took me a minute, but I was able to plug it back into the silver cylinder below... what is that?

Went to the Safari HP open house.. literally 4 miles from my house

These guys have some cool stuff on the shelf

And finally, survived Hurricane Irma!
