5 volts reference, TPS circuit on AEL vehicle also feeds fuel pressure switch on fuel sending unit, it goes bad and shorts to ground making TPS not work

Just went through the whole thread. I posted in it pretty much when you started it. Too bad I haven't got the work done that you have. Just haven't had the time or money. I'm making a bit of progress though.

I make my own hours for now which means money is tight so parts are sourced 3 ways, u pull jy in va. , my friends jy in n.j., used off the boards, amazon prime, eBay, and finally a/b or similar, having been a mechanic my whole life. Thanks dad, been to GM school and worked at 2 dealers before giving it up as a profession helps alot. Not to be conceded but I probly forgot more about cars then most people know and I do mean forgot, these rovers just seem to be a real pain with a lot of things guess I am to used to USA type cars mainly GM and old stuff 40/50's me and dad have

I hear ya, I've worked on cars all my life. I either don't trust others to work on mine or just don't want to pay to have it done. I've made money working on other peoples cars but never worked for somebody in a shop. As I mentioned in the other thread I have a 3000GT, those cars will make you one hell of a auto tech .

If you are interested in seeing my build here it is.

tom, curious on your wireless remote, reference to signal distance. do you always get 20-30' range? mine works well beyond the cable length. wondering if it was due to receiver being submerged?

It is the harbor freight remote, I was guesstimating it was probly farther just meant it has a decent distance for the $20?
