Default may I pick your brain for a second?

Great video - I just went through your thread and found where you had a high idle issue that was fixed by the ecu swap. You mentioned changing sensors with it but not whether or not you used the alarm as well. Later you had to go back to get a baseline done. I think that was the final on that problem.

My question is did you not have to have a test book to get the ecu swap? And when you mentioned that the TPS co-operated with the fuel sender, do you think that would be be showing up on a fuel pressure tester?

I have a donor vehicle that will idle (fine - 710) but if you step on the gas, it starts misfiring and refuses to go over 1200 rpms in closed loop and 1700 rpm in open loop.

The values given on my ultra gauge matches closely to what my other D1 is showing. Only the timing was being retarded until I pulled the knock sensors but even though the timing is advancing now, it still suffers the same condition. Lastly - the cats were gutted b4 i got it and just found that out in the last few days.

Looks like you have ran the full gambit on yours so thanks for any ideas..

When I swapped ecm I did not swap alarm box just IACV and maybe TPS?

When the issue returned it got real bad then I lost TPS on the ultragauge , real cause was TPS power shorted, TPS is wired in with the fuel tank pressure switch, it is on the sender and the reason the fuel sender is so $$$, it does not trip a code, after I replaced the sender and had the ecm reset its been fine since

No idea with your issue, tried redoing grounds on battery and such?

Yes, just had to jack up the rover some to get the right angle to slip it in behind the hitch

Used the front bolts in back and put slightly longer bolts in the front, don't forget the washers

Love the video. Your truck looks great. Where you able to drive it home with all the damage you got?
