Great info on the hood release.
Mine was broken when I bought my truck.
Previous owner tied a rope around the handle for leverage and it still is terrible.

Thanks just drilled and tapped to use factory stone guard screws, was gonna reuse my hook from cable but it won't fit the metal eye on the rope and I don't want to squish the eye and damage the rope

Yeah I am not sure if my frames bent or body's shifted but measuring it is not symmetrical we had to eyeball alot

Did you use the D1 bracket to hold the end of the D2 cable? Or just screw the D2 lever and bracket with spacers to the kick panel?

I may need to do this also, mine is getting very hard to pull.

D2 self tap with spacing, here is the pic of the location, opens the hood 1 finger now, when I removed the d1 cable it was free moving, you just need the leverage
