For what it's worth, I would not run the skid plate down to the pitman arm. A TON of time the slim line has given me just enough clearance to get by certain obstacles and I've never hit the drag link... Center punched the pumpkin a few times though. Max clearance and just build a drag link out of 1.5x.25" DOM

Well it is all welded up, how far should we have dropped it in the back?

A ton of guys run skid plates so it may be a non issue. This is my current setup.

My old tube bumper had a skid but it barely came below the frame rails. You will have a good bit more protection on yours.

Looking at camel trophy pics and the commercially available skid plate mine definitely has more angle and less drop, was just figuring on protecting that steering box some, think it is more looks then anything

Like your bumper ian , want to try for similar, want to stick out on sides some to stand on if needed

Ian I am guessing your old tube bumper had the same as the terrafirma, basicly a filler plate to hide between the frame rails
