Operation Magpie.
Damn, thats bright.
Well, here are the fruits of my labor and now i have a reverse light. Green / brown wire was the right one (never had a doubt it wasn't) -- had everything installed in about 30mins, including soldering. The bumper kinda blocks some of the beam due to the angle of the mounting bracket but.. i don't really care
Its bright as f-ck so if someone can't see me backing out of a spot, then they deserve to get hit. I just mounted the light via one of the holes in the rear quarter where that bumper trim piece goes -- didn't have to drill anything and the bolt fit perfectly.
Ripped out the trailer harness mess first which made everything easier to do moving forward. These lights seems to be decent quality for $12 so i hope they last at least a year
Not sure what i'm gonna do with the second light just yet but i'm sure i'll find a place for it -- i was thinking under the hood as a work light or something.

Been meaning to do this for a while
Also finally soldiered the left fog light properly.. Just waitin' for the paint to dry! Just used a sotchbrighted the paint and then wiped it down with some rubbing alki to clean it off.. I should probably clean up the rear bumper but i think i'd need some larger stands to help support it since it is steel

Nope. This light pod probably draws less current / voltage than the 2 OEM bulbs which are supposed to be there but are not. Any other aux light that is going on the truck will be relayed though -- i very much understand their importance
Thanks I am adding an LED backup light, that's what I figured. But you did the work 1st saved me testing and letting the smoke out of the wiring
I have LED backup lights that just draw 1amp each. That and I replaced the OEM reverse bulbs with LED as well. No aux wiring needed for that, now other larger lights = always use a relay/harness.
Installing a bumper solo kinda sucks but.. i think the black looks much better

I keep thinking i should install that other LED light i have on the underside of the left side of the bumper -- I'd be able to see whats behind me via the side view mirrors. I would probably wire up a switch on the dash with a relay
