And I'm in no way bashing L8. Those guys are the best. The price is set I'm sure with what the manufacturer sells them to L8 for wholesale.
I'm saying the comparison of manufacturer to manufacturer is a fair one. Summit is a vendor. So is L8. The price comparison isn't to bash L8. I'm simply saying Allmakes should be charging like a dollar for those things. If that. Since all the major vendors in the Rover world are around the same price for those same parts, I think it's safe to say the price that Allmakes sells them to the vendors is way to high.
And I miss wrote it's not the comp cams I bought it's the Crower. I bought Comp lifters. Same principal argument is the same.
Small update. Engine is almost back together. New cam is in. New timing chain. New oil pump. New heads. New water pump is on the way. The old one is temporarily in so I can install the timing cover.
But the coolest part of my updated is my accidental sunroof delete. What are the chances of me randomly going to the junkyard and finding a white SWB Classic with no sunroof. Total score. I even got the headliner too. I'm going to have that recovered. I hate sunroofs. Before I swap roofs I'll insulate the roof. So that's gonna cut down on some noise while driving. And also no giant hole in the roof. Super happy about that.
I've pulled so many parts off this truck. I've got spares of everything. And I got a new cowl panel. I'm debating getting the rear doors. I'm probably going to pull the 24 spline front axle complete. It's got vented discs.

I wish. They won't sell whole vehicles I tried. A few years ago they had a amazing white 1995 SD 5spd. I begged the owner to sell it whole. Sucked because I had to watch it get picked clean.
