So, while I need to address the skid still......I've had multiple objectives taking up space in the shop.....and since steel and wood don't mix well, need to loooooooooose the wood!!!!
Rear door panel DONE and out of my way!
Not the greatest pic......but time to move on.......Done, out of the way, incorporated another 12volt power source, switch activated....all and all, cheap and nice.......I might incorporate some vertical wear strips to keep it clean down the road....but over all, very happy it's DONE!!!!!
My system was chopped.........unknowingly....which smoked the system......I may have 2 Pyle subs available, new & cheap.......guess I thought I could upgrade the burned out stuff......but most of it fried.
Rewiring the entire system without subs......looking more at expanding space on my end.
Well.....Gas tank retention/skittish skid is now complete......I didn't have a whole bunch to work with.....but the ends were still there..lol..
Found myself having to build it in sections, but that's okay, I beveled the back side and made it happen......found some 3/16" D Plate off in the corner I forgot about....about an hour and 45 later.....it was done. Finished pic's tomorrow once everything dries.....
All righty......With the bed liner cured over night, time to move on......
Reinstall went real well, no issues....removed the rear sway bar while I was under there....don't think it was worth much any way due to the worn out bushings....
Not being able to leave well enough alone last night, I simply couldn't leave all that bare steel alone........so, in case I ever get to break a crest with Doug as my spotter, I figured I'd give him something to snicker about.......
I was just asked/told that I get a 20 hour class in food grade TIG'n starting April 4 to get my cert. All overtime fun games, I bring the donuts...... now if I can get my ammonia refrigeration and boiler certs paid for I'll be a very wealthy fella...... I feel a Range Rover in my near future........
