I'd like to hit the person who engineered that front end with a hammer.
I don't see anything positive about it.
Thanks for the heads up.

Unless you build longer links the rear sway also goes bye bye , it binds once the links flip, I realty did not notice any difference removing them, waaay to undersized for weight of vehicle IMO

Iirc the d2 front sway mounts in front of axle like a normal car

And I run a cheapo set of poly, I have orange seems OK, if I were to redo I might go red I like a stiffer on road ride

1/2 the point of owning this thing was to have something the wife can drive if needed or take over driving......She's already commented on it's 'swagger'...and her previous 4wd's had links disconnected on the street so I'm not ready to toss them yet. Meant to call a friend at Hellwig today to see if they had any options on the shelf, my last custom ones took a year to get so that's not an option.

I need to say......after chasing some grounds, applying dielectric grease to numerous connections, the hi-test.......it's running pretty good now, my only complaint is it takes on a rough idle once warmed up, then goes away over another 30 minutes of stopping and starting.......need to pursue that.

You can do a 1.5 - 2" lift and still run sways without any real problem. My '96 in on about a 1.5" Old Man Emu lift and 235/86/16 tires. I just installed new polyurethane swaybar bushings. If you're doing mild trails and forest/fire roads you'll be fine running sways with a lift.

Well...........If she continues to behave, it'll probably get a 2" lift and that's about it........My 'harder-core' rock days are behind me using different 4by's.....The wife who used to rock her own rig has pretty much lost interest and my 9 year old......and this is my fault.....doesn't care for the hard stuff and my skinny pedal habit and he witnessed me do a fairly high speed roll (about 45mph) last year, walking away but looking like Carrie after having pigs blood dumped on her at the prom.....it was pretty messy.....after that he wouldn't even 'Jump In' to the bus stop with me......So, need to keep things calm.......for now.

So 2", I've snuck 265's under it already with minor trimming, I think we'll stick with......'If I need to go over there, I can' mentality for now.....I'll do some other mod's, but for this one stay at 2" & keep calm..........

Meanwhile, need to stay on the rust thing as time permits....

If I can space that sway bar down, I will....Thanks!

I'm thinking of fabbing lift spacers myself for the 2" with some decent shocks, then I guess now space the sways.......Don't want to throw too mush SSS at this girl until she completes rehab, after all.......she could relapse at any moment......need to build trust!

I dreamt it had missing motor mount bolts causing my vibration last night.......You know it evil when you dream about it.....need trust.....

Actually I meant wheel spacers - 30mm and I knew it when I posted it might get confused. Ah well. Lift on spacers is cheap.....
