I do want I can to keep the entertainment value up.
Went ahead and ordered one Yokohama in 315/75R16. Smaller than originally planned but 34.8 is a good starting point. It will help me sort out clearance etc while I get the lift sorted. I want as little lift as possible to clear.
Since that was the plan I decided to clean a boost rim as the paint was in rough shape when I got them.
Someone a long time ago spent a lot of money painting these gray

So in keeping with my luck on oversized tires at Discount Tire. I was denied my 315/75 on the boost wheels. The rims are not wide enough to meet their safety requirement. So two hours wasted for that to get sorted.... Apparently I need some 8” wide wheels
In the works apparently leaving me sit for 2 hours gives me time to find stuff on random rover used parts outlets..... In the end I think this is a much better solution.
Hmmm....... you have a conundrum, tossing the detonator is a fine idea but you still have a 315 75 16 without a home. I hate to even mention it but what about steelies? How hard are ya gonna bang that fine piece of machinery around? Still have open diffs yes?
Nah the 315/75 was returned and refunded before I left. I have considered steel wheels and I have the originals for the 110. Only downside is I don’t like most steel wheels. Lockers and axles are in the plan of course. Phase II we will call that. Phase I is running driving with an interior.
