I'm new to this board but I've found several of the other posts very helpful in selecting my first Land Rover. Many thanks.

I'm having trouble getting the drivers door to shut properly it seems to catch and hold but not close properly. Before I start taking the lock mechanism apart can anyone tell me what I should be looking for?

 

Door hinges tend to drop a little over time so the latch and strike plate don't quite line up - the door will move a little when you push on it and there might be a scratch or wear mark on the strike plate if that's the case. Pretty easy fix, undo the bolts retaining the strike plate and you can re-position it so the latch contacts it better.
