Default 5 speed Clutch slipping or drive shaft issue?

Hey all,

Ive been driving my 95 Disco 5 speed this week back and forth to work 25 highway miles each way. Truck was running great until yesterday after getting on base and pulling away from a stop my truck started chugging at about 1900 up to 3000 RPM in all gears. I don’t think it’s the engine, when I rev it out of gear there’s no issues. It’s only once I start driving away, it feels like something is either catching or slipping and makes the truck and rpm jump around.

not sure if it would be clutch or drive t case issues. I’m in 4 hi, the front drive shaft has about a quarter inch of play rotationally, the rear has none. The rear drive shaft flange is cracking but just looking for some input. I can post a vid as well of the tach if need be.

thanks for any guidance.

Also In the Central Valley, California so it has been in the 100s. Oil temp is fine, but maybe causing something else to heat up?
