Why would ashcroft recommend ATF over MTF94 these days then?

I wonder if a larger percentage of ATF is yellow metals safe versus back then

Again, cross reference and inquire with the manufacturer of any ATF or any fluid if it is unclear (if it does not specify).

It usually takes a quick email and someone will get back to you from the engineer department within a day or two.

Different detergents and additives for oils are specific... therefore guessing which oil is best can sometines lead to expensive mistakes and headaches.

I would inquire with Ashcroft why they recommend ATF? Unless they are recommending a specific ATF brand that is safe for yellow/soft metals... Just my $0.02 and experience working closely with ConocoPhillips engineers and products
