Then I would feel confident that my readings would be correct.
Not required to have the Rave manual, and I did not want to bother you but the measuring with a multimeter on a static engine (not running) as I explained in my first attempt may take 5 minutes and your '94 has the same type ignition. Again I apologise for having asked your assistance but it is my only confirmation before I proceed with buying yet another coil and ignition amplifier unit tomorrow and burn them out too.

Hey, I truly have no problem with helping you out. Glad to do it. But I first must confirm that the FUEL PUMP is my problem, before going further. Just getting a spark does not completely diagnose the ignition system. So I will take the readings for you, when I install and confirm the fuel pump solves my problems. I'm sorry if this might be too late for you. But I expect my parts to arrive by about wednesday.

OK, here is what I got for the readings you wanted, from my 1994 Disco I, manual transmission.

Battery voltage at battery: 11.85 volts (battery down a bit from sitting)

These correspond to your 4 tests.

Ignition on:

1. 11.73 volts
2. 11.73 volts
3. Essentially zero volts
4. Essentially zero volts

With ignition off, I get no readings on either side of coil.

Hope this helps.

Default Works like a champ

I installed my new replacement fuel pump (from Rovuhfarm) and my fuel problems are now solved. Starts and runs great.
