95 D1 check engine
I have a question about my check engine light. It came on last weekend while offroading, and idle started to get erratic, I found that my vacuum advance tubing had broke and 1 fuel injector had come unplugged. After repairing both those items it returned to running and idling fine. I had a code 14 on diag. While messing around t-stat sensor, cleaned connection. Cleared code, it has remained blank since then, but check engine light comes and goes every day or so. Any ideas on what else to check or how to clear check engine light? Forgot to mention that in the vacuum line that plugs in by the stepper motor I found that it had a ball bearing shoved in it to plug it up, so I removed the blockage. Haven't noticed it running any different, maybe a bit smoother. Could that be why the light is on? Maybe previous owner had it rigged or something.
Thanks, Ron.
Thanks, Ron.
So no code stays on your diag display? Sounds like some carb cleaner for the IACV and throttle body might be in order. Doesn't that vac line run over to the valve cver - fi so that is part of the PCV system and the companion one on opposite valve cover may need to be cleaned out with carb cleaner as well.
