Default 95 disco occasional no start help

I have a 95 disco and recently has developed a no start problem cranks but will not fire. no fuel pressure at the shrader valve. this only happens sometimes when cold. wait and it may start and then run fine. this morning it would not start so i turned the ignition on and off several times without engaging the starter then when i engaged the starter it started fine. Is it a fuel pump starting to go or should i look for something else?

I think you nailed it with no fuel pressure. From that, possible things include bad fuel pressure regulator, clogged fuel filter (near rear wheel on my 97), cracked vac hose going to FPR, fuel pump relay, fuel pump connections, etc. If you can check fuel pressure with engine running, should be like 32-34 PSI. Normally pump will fail 100%, or weaken. The on-again off-again may indicate an electrical issue, incluidng ignition key area if relays not clicking. Only when cold makes good argument for electrical or cracked vac hose (things change size when warmed).

Inertia switch (on firewall, round button on top) might be needing a good push to reset.

If you had said no spark, we'd be talking about crank position sensor.

Mine turned out to be a faulty fuel cap('98 with AEL). Try loosening the cap and see if it goes.
