Default '95 - two PCV questions

First question - I bought the PCV kit from Atlantic British for my truck - it came with a plastic cap thing with a bunch of holes in it, and a sort of foam sponge that seems to fit into it. I don't seem to have anywhere for that to go. My truck has a metal can filled with brass wool that the hose connects to on the passenger side manifold. Replaced the o-ring on that can, it was fossilized.

Second question, I replaced the vacuum hose that runs from the back of the driver's side manifold to the airbox. It had a plastic fitting in the middle of it. Seems to be just a straight through with a barb on each end. Is it supposed to be a check valve? The hose was crusty enough that it might well be original.

Thanks!

Foam and plastic cap is the PCV breather which should be on one or the other valve cover. No, the plastic fitting wasn't a check valve but it might have been a "T" fitting. Maybe someone with a 95 can chime in on that.

I don't remember seeing one on a 94 either........ probably a carry over item from the Rangies that didn't carry over to the NAS Disco trucks.
