Does anyone know what might be causing my front passenger door handle to not unlatch? I have tried adjusting the linkages behind the door panel which didn't really help and even made the problem worse at one point.

I thought I had it working better for about 2 months after I replaced the rubber mounts for the center locking door actuator and doing a little bit of fiddling with the linkages but this morning I went to grab something out of the passenger seat and the door handle came all the way out but the door didn't open. It feels like the clasp inside is moving and I know the linkages work from testing with the door panel off.

Could the clasp be sticking sometimes? It seems to happen more when its colder out for some reason. I also know that the springs in the handle assembly are a common failing point but the symptoms don't seem to be lining up from what I can tell.

 

Understanding that you have already adjusted the linkage, perhaps it requires further adjustment. Here is a helpful video....
