Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has had luck replacing the antenna used for the remote FOBs to unlock the vehicle without the key?

I unfortunately have to be about 5-10 feet away otherwise my FOB does not work.

I have replaced batteries but it still seems like a weak signal. I do recall reading that the antenna inside the footwell is fairly short, and that this is why it can lead to distance issues when trying to unlock or lock the vehicle.

Does anyone have a specific page as to where the unit is in the Shop Manual or Rave manual?

Has anyone replaced, or upgraded their antenna pigtail?

Tom, I recall reading that it's the length of the stupid antenna inside the Discovery that limits the distance

Someone posted an upgrade, by lengthening the wire, and then it gave them a half block radius!

Just wondering where the darn thing is and will attempt it myself
