my 97 d1 abs light always worked properly light on on startup after a few rotations goes off,i recently cleared cobes (p1316) after cleating no more light on startup.when i turn the key to 2nd pos i don't see the abs light any insight would help;thanks

 

if I recall, the ABS light is an old school bulb. may have just burnt out.

 

is there any way to tell if abs is working

 

get on some loose gravel when no one else is around and slam on the brakes?

 

i understand that but is there a test that can tell me the unit is working will a diagnostic test tell

I guess you could try the blink code procedure. I doubt it will illuminate, but maybe we'll be surprised. All it takes is a cheap piece of wire.
