Default ABS Light!!! WHY!!!

Okay, so ihad a leak in my brake line. I replaced the line, bled the brakes and they work great again. But my ABS light is on!! Prior to the leak this light never stayed on, it worked perfect and did it's check when you first start then the light would shut off like it should. Any ideas why it's still on...??

The ABS brain has its own codes and own reader that can reset them.

You can remove the ABS fuse in the underhood fuse box, and drive the truck, won't have ABS. Of course, you don't have it now either.

Not sure if fuse removed will clear codes or make it re-learn the system.

From the RAVE workshop manual:

4. Electronic control unit - ECU
ABS control is provided by an electronic control unit
which is positioned on the passenger side of the
vehicle behind the dash panel/glove box.
The ECU, which is non-serviceable, is connected to
the ABS harness by a 35 way connector. non
serviceable.
The ECU continually monitors the brake system,
providing diagnostics in the event of a system
malfunction. Details of how to access the ECU
diagnostics are provided in the Electrical
Troubleshooting Manual.

[This means dealers charge for a new one. Can get from salvage or a dismantler on this forum]

In the tech section there is a write up on how to read and clear the ABS codes on a DI.

is the abs light powered off of that same fuse, or does that just run the controller?
