Adjustable oil pressure regulator

Was wondering if any of you guys have tried this:
Oiling System Accessories, ADJ OIL PRESSURE REGULATOR, TA_1502 | TAPerformance.com
My wagoneer had a 350 buick motor in it and our LR motor are very similar.
I used the TA oil pump and regulator on it. I was able to get 35-45 lbs at idle and 75lbs at 2000rpm.
After reviewing the oil pump and I see the the pressure relief valve is similar.
The one thing I learned about the buick 350 pumps is that the clearances actually adjust the idle pressure (rpm limited) but the djustable regulator starts kicking in at around 700 rpm. Stock buick idle is 550 rpm.
has anybody messed with this?
It seems to me some higher idle pressure will keep lifters pumped up better and reduce the use of thick oils.

Etc. I'll test later. Not a big concern.
TA performance builds the 215 they don't seem to have issues with that type of pressure. Is there an exterior seal that has to hold it? Like crank seals etc? I did not think this motor was built that way?

Sung to the tune of While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
Most users have leaks somewhere.
Thicker oils tend to leak less.
Higher pressure and thinner Oils
Turn a Gentle Weeper
Into a High Pressur Sprayer
Those aren't good
Under the Hood.
