Default Alarm oddities..

98 Disco 1, alarm issues (fast beeping horn(sounds sick), engine disabled)

Central lock not working, alarm doesn't enable/disable via the Key (didn't come with key fob).

Alarm activated itself randomly while sitting locked in the driveway as well.

Trying to find things to test/check. Found a door switch that was broken, fixed that. Checked fuses and they're all OK.

Here are some pages from RAVE related to the Alarm for components to check. Should help get you started.
Also the circuit schematics start on page 326-336 of the ETM (97-99) T2-Theft Alarm System(NAS). If you need to see specific pages and don't have RAVE just post up.

Update:

No luck, need to check actual connections..

Same issues with an alternate ecu/security box, so its gotta be a wiring issue..

I would check the door lock switch on the drivers door.... check that the wiring is still attached to it. Slamming the door usually separates it.

Checked that.. The one in it exploded but looked like it had been disconnected for a while. replaced with one salvaged from my 97 and seems to be operational now (interior lights activate when opening the door.) but still no alarm/central locking functions.

Connector C274 pin 10(black/orange) to ground (or pin11).

horn will still blare (unless disconnected). And that ugly red pimple alarm light will stare you in the face.

You can disable either/both from the same area use the ETM if you so choose.
