Here are some new Allmakes parts I think look good.

Crankshaft Timing Gear - PR2 - Made in USA by Dynagear


Front Crankshaft Oil Seal - PR2 - Made in France by Corteco


Timing Chain - PR2 - Made in USA by Dynagear

With respect to the lifters, the flat spot on oem rod matches the flat spot on lifter. If you used new rods with old lifters, the "ball" would not fully seat, IMHO. Good thing you are doing it all.

While you have spent more on parts and shop than some of us spent on our trucks, you have save quite a bit on tuition for the technical college of auto mechanics.

The amount I've learned over the past few months has been wildly mind numbing So much more to learn too.

Savannah, Maybe you should award him an Associate Degree from Thye International School Of Rover Education based upon his achievements so far. Create a nice certificate and send him. He has almost earned the Bachelor's Degree and is headed for a Master's at this rate.

Or make a swingout countertop for the rear cargo area.
