chris bro....i've been catching that alaskan cops series. bet they're a whole lot nicer on the tv.

cops - had 50 state troopers meet at my site yesterday, plus their really swanky helicopter with image stabilized camera. Seems they are planning a "sweep" of the I-95 corridor that will focus on all the guys head to/from Bike Week, it is rumored they actually get federal money to help fund it.

50 LED's for only a couple grand, wow.

I could get a surplus aircraft landing gear light and strap it to the crossrail.

Back to alternator questions. My battery light has been randomly coming on. Tested the charging voltage at the battery, tests 12.2 at idle and 13.4 at 2000 rpm using my fluke DVOM.

Tell me more about the VW alternator mod. I happen to have a spare VR6 alt which worked fine when removed. What is involved in the swap?
