I think it might be cheaper and faster to just do the lift instead of dicking with all the engine mods I've seen others have to do...

theres no way to just put a divot or notch in the oil pan?

I vote drop it in and then worry about about what else you have to change to make it work properly

Kind of what we are doing, but of course it's much better to no have to reinvent the wheel...

We are actually doing 2 of them at the same time. I drop the truck off tonight at 5 to start the process. Maybe spend tomorrow pulling out the 3.9 and the R380 so we can template the adapter and get it cut, Others have used the 616 MB flywheel, but I think we are going to see about using the rovers flywheel first. If it doesn't work, I have 3 616 flywheels I can have in a couple days.

Then, while we are working on that, get the master kit for the trans and rebuild it so it will be 100% when the job is finished. (currently the synco for 2nd is crappy). My trans place will do the full rebuild for 200 labor if I get them the parts.

I'm selling off my 560sl also to add more money to this build. If I do it, I want it to be done right in the end, something I can have for many years.

That is a good deal! Have him break down the transmission and see what parts you need. There should be no reason to rebuild the entire transmission. Just replace what needs to be replaced. It will either be the balk or the sync rings, which don't cost that much.

Update when it gets done!

Yeah...I dont like hanging out there much...too much fluff.

I currently have the kit which tricks the system to the lower height...just want to get rid of the damn thing. I am not looking forward to replacing another bag. Going to hit up the guys in the EU to see what they have done. I know...the dang warning light....maybe if I keep the height sensor in there with the trick bracket, it should continue to think it is at normal height...hummm....

End of session...back to the normal program...sorry for hijacking...
