Anyone ever had the rear AC unit out?
So I was changing out my exhaust on my 96se. I bumped one of the AC lines above the muffler under the drivers side rear bumper. Well, for whatever reason it sheared right off and gave me a facefull of oil and refrigerant.
I thought it was the line but turns out it is the bulkhead fitting that spans the cabin floor and enters the AC unit. The pipe is the long one that traverses the rear bumper.
Here are some pics of the area:
The last one is the broken part pulled back a little.
A bad situation, to at the least.
If anyone has had the unit out and apart and knows what exists between the line and evaporator and can clue me in on what I will likely be buying to fix this mess. Looking at the rave it looks like the expansion valve is right there, but the threads on the part in the pic on the AB site looks different.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
