Checking and topping off my brake fluid today I noticed what looked like a crack in the plastic...

I just about put my finger through the thing before I realized the plastic was completely deteriorated...

It's not leaking yet but now that i've disturbed it......FUTCH !

Guess I'll be ordering a new one of those...

Weird. I'd be looking at WHY its melting/deteriorating. What kind of fluid do you have in there?

 

It only appears to be on one side.. The "outside" towards the fender.. Something got sprayed on it that crazed the plastic... The other 5 sides seem to be unaffected...

Hmmm, wonder if it was a degreaser or something. Bummer.
