Default Brake Rebuild Kit?

Hey Fellas,

I am planning on a brake overhaul on the D1.

Anyone have any experience with or opinion of the following AB kit?:

Brake Rebuilding Kit Front/Rear | Brake Parts for Land Rover & Range Rover

Thanks!

I can get you all of that for a whole lot cheaper if you want?

2 Front Rotors (British Pacific LR017951) $50
2 Rear Rotors (British Pacific LR017953) $46
4 Drive Member Joint Washers (British Pacific 571752) $1
4 Wheel Bearing Washer Locks (British Pacific FTC3179) $2
4 Inner Grease Seal (British Pacific RTC3511) $8
Front and Rear Brake Pads (Autozone) $50
(It comes with lifetime warranty, so when you need to change them just bring your old ones to the store. I've done it 4 times now and they work just fine with no squealing)
TOTAL: $157

Savings: about $200

Do your wheel bearings while you are at it
8 Timken Set 37 Wheel Bearings (Rock Auto) $78

Thanks! Those parts seem awfully inexpensive. How is the quality?

If you keep fixing your Disco...you're going to need a new screen name.

Everything works great so far, only had them for like 2 weeks though. Rotors are nice, squeal is gone from uneven rotors. Just make sure you install the inner seal correctly or they go bye bye really fast...

Replace the bearings, service the diffs, set the preloads on the swivels and do a 2 quart brake flush along with the kit.

Question on the preload, what all do I need? I keep finding the "kits" but it's only for the upper pin. Don't we have two? I'm so confused...

Swivel pin
Bearing (which one? AB has 2)
Shims
Fish scale
