Brake Vent -Lock Sleeve
#11
Fixed & Done
RC---
I started last night by pulling the hose from the switch and placed a thumb over the hose while engaging the CC and she worked! THX for trouble shooting tip. Next it was back under the dash to mess with the sleeve.
I first reset the Brake vent Sleeve as before, test drove, and Nothing. However- While under the dash I noticed a second switch (looks identical to the Vent Switch) mounted higher on the bracket. I presume this is the "Brake Light Switch".
I'm not sure the Programing logic between these two switches (If any at all or dumb luck)----but I reset this Stop Light sleeve in the same manner (and at the same time) as the the brake vent sleeve. Slowly released the brake pedal & I heard both switches click right when the pedal was at full release. Took her out for a drive AND wham---I got my CC back!
thanks for the help Everyone!

well the CC ECU receives an electrical signal from the brake to stop the CC system and the Vacuum release is a fail safe. however if you plugged the hose manually and it worked then it had to be with the vacuum switch.

right
true,
I did the "plug the hose test" before realizing the second switch was there. I guess I didn't complete the reset correctly to the vent switch the first go around.
either way I appreciate all the help.
you "senior" guys pointed me in the right direction! Now onto mounting Hella lights on my A-Bar, installing new bush rings for the front ABS sensors, oil changes for the Saab & Explorer. Oh yeah... and the inlaws at the house for x-mas.
-Darn... looks like I will be out in the gargage working that list with my shop forman Sam Adams..... ;-)
