The CDL shifter should move freely side to side . toward drivers seat engages the center diff and then you got true four wheel drive, use only off-road or slick conditions, never on dry pavement or you will damage drivetrain. A light on dash should come on when locked. Move toward pax seat should disengage. Do not engage if wheels have lost traction. (Engage before getting stuck)

Mine is with the chrome bumpers and tow tone leather.

Danny, yea the color name is white gold didn't quite dig the color all that much but as I got it dirty then shined it up the color grew on me real quick. It almost looks silver in some light and goldish in others.

Walko327 - I have the twin to this vehicle (98 LSE - White Gold) - I purchased it new from the dealer - It has 105,000 miles. As all the posters have indicated, this vehicle is not a "gas it and drive it" vehicle - Attention to the detailed maintenance thread on this forum prevents major problems.
Since it sounds like the deal is done - You will find this forum to be a fantastic resource.

Below is from some research I did
The LSC was the top of the line in Late 1997 in White Gold, Lightstone Leather there where 200 in that color. The Late 1997/1998 had a 50th Anniversary sticker in the cargo window on a LSC package. There where just 200 made with that package for the USA Market.
So the 1998 I have is an LSC LATE 1997 early 1998 with the Sticker in the Cargo. Total Production was 200 so that is cool.
Wife bought me the books by James Taylor (writer not singer) so I though I would pass it on.
