Caliper Check
Just got some new calipers (Centric) and about to replace the rear ones tomorrow. So just to check..
1. Remove wheel
2. Compress pads and piston with C-Clamp
3. Remove the two connector pins
4. Remove caliper
5. Remove brake line from caliper
6. Backwards on new caliper?

2. remove brake line
3. loosen the top bolt and then the bottom bolt [to keep it from spinning leave the top one in.
4. remove both bolts on caliper
5. compress pisons on new caliper
6. bolt caliper back on. Connect brake line
7. bleed brakes.
Makes more sense no?
No need for c-clamp for removal.
I can't remove the connecting bolts in the back, they seem to take a 12pt 13mm socket? Any ideas? I tried a combo 13mm wrench on it with the box end and I don't have enough leverage to remove it. I'm a weak boy >.> only benching 150lb..
12pt 13mm is right amd use a hammer. I have a extending ratchet for more leverage
All my sockets are 6pt. I'm in the process of calling the local warehouse stores to "rent-a-tool." All they have are 6pt's and my friends aren't picking up because it was a late night last night..
I wanna go to memphis so bad >.>
I'll try the hammer method. Facing the rotor do I whack it left or right?

Also, I had to use liquid wrench on some of my bolts when replacing my bearings which required partially removing my caliper. Hope this helps, and as always take my advice with a grain of salt if it conflicts with any members with seniority, but I'm pretty sure it won't.
