Default Car overheated- Ultra Gauge alarm

So,

My car overheated last night due to a leaking coolant reservoir.

My Ultra gauge arrived in the nail today and I changed the coolant tank.

Took the car out after changing the coolant tank and the ultra gauge showed temps of 221 just going around the corner.

No milky look to the oil, so I'm hoping the head gasket didn't blow.

UG is giving me an alarm saying"cat bank 1 sensor 1 F(Fahrenheit symbol)"
"Value 8799 Alarm max 2011"

Anybody have any ideas?

I already changed the water pump, thermostat, and serpentine belt as well as a new coolant tank.

132,000 miles and I have no history of maintenance from PO, but it lokks like the heads have never come off.

Thanks in advance.

Turn off the alarms.
That is for the cat temp, does not apply to the Rover.
Check the belt routing, tech section for diagram.
If the belt is on wrong the water pump will turn to slow (or the wrong direction) and you will overheat.

Thank you Spike. Belts on correct, checked the belt routing per diagram and referenced my secondary rover.

I'm getting temps up to 225-230. I don't think this is normal?

I realized the thermostat was installed backwards and switched it.

So, if my temps are too high I'm guessing the radiator or heater core.

Sound correct?

That's what it was with my rover. I replaced hoses, water pump, fan clutch, sensors, thermostat, to no avail temp on the Ultraguage 212+. Changed some of the parts again with LR dealer parts to no avail. Tossed a Nissans radiator from Lucky8 in the truck & steady 183.2 degrees with the AC on in traffic all day long. Radiator dude said the factory radiator was fine. Apparently not!!

Thanks wrong way. I can't find the radiator on their site.

Do you remember how much you paid for it?

Try an Indy rad shop for a rod out on the D1 rad, about $70 near me. There is also $245 aluminum aftermarket

Here is the ebay link

Land Rover Discovery 1 I Range Classic Radiator ESR3687 New | eBay

This just dropped right in. had to bend the tabs for the shroud at the bottom of the radiator, but that might have been my doing Took way less than an hour to install, top off the radiator, tranny fluid, and oil. But the bleeding of the system took days & had to drive it about 2 miles for the heat to start coming out of the vents by the way.... appeared to be topped off, but there was air in the system. Release the bleed screw on the top of the radiator about 1/2 turn with a 20mm wrench/socket let the air bleed off, tighten & top off the overflow, let cool down & top off the overflow again & repeat, repeat & repeat again!!!
