Default Clutch Woes :-(

I've replaced both the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder; bled every which way - forward, backward, pressure, vacuum, pumping, on an incline, etc. I've gotten good clutch feel, yet no engagement so I can't put it into gear. I can start in gear and drive, just can't switch gears. Now I'm thinking maybe I have a bad slave or master even though brand new; or something else. I used a Motive pressure bleeder (held static pressure of 10 psi and did not go down) this evening expecting to see bubbles but there were none. No difference. I think my next move will be to make a new solid line to connect directly from the new master to the new slave, bypassing the old line which includes a short length of rubber hose which by now is almost 21 years old. Am I missing anything??? Anyone else have this problem??

Possibly the fork is gone. Some were known to wear a hole (where the slave cylinder connecting rod makes contact with the dimple in the fork). If you've got "peddle" I would rule out the hydraulics and look at the mechanics.

I've heard of that but it seems like it wouldn't spring back like it does if that was the case. What else would cause the clutch to spring back like that?
