Thats your problem, you need to dump those plug wires.
You need either Kingsbourne, STI or Magnecor plug wires.
Do not spend any more money on parts until you replace those plug wires.
I dont care if you just put those wires on yesterday, that is the problem.

So a little bump. Checked the fuel pressure - it was lower than spec. Turns out there was a leak in a fuel line. With that fixed, I had the computer reset and the engine ran great, for a day. The next morning it ran incredibly rich and stalled. So at this point the throttle position sensor is on the list to be replaced. I can't wait to get the truck running to go offroading!

Off topic: anyone have decent spots to 4x4 in central ks or northern ok?

Make damn sure you get tit running right BEFORE you take it off-roading or you may end up out there a lot longer than you planned for. Also take emergency supplies Justin Case.

The truck runs great - when it isn't rich. Once I get it running reliably the plan is to go through the 100,000 mile tune-up and get her back in fighting condition. Only after thats done will I think about mods. Thanks for the input!

How far are you from Disney, OK? It more north eastern. There is some pretty cool stuff there, if you live close enough. Maybe even if you don't live close enough.

Changed TPS seems to have fixed the problem... knock on wood.

I'm in the Wichita area now. I'll have to try and make it down to Disney. Are there a good number of Rover owners down there??

Most common problem, exactly what I have been dealing with is the CATS getting plugged up with soot. I'll bet that when you rev it up black soot poors out of the tailpipe. These CATS are junk.

No. I've seen maybe 4. I haven't even wheeled the 03 there yet, I need to install my cdl or fix my TC or both.

That's exactly what happened. But now hopefully the engine is back in balance with a decent fuel pressure and intake sensor values.

Thanks for all the advice again!
