The manuals can be found in the google drive linked in my signature. Look in the D1 section for the LT230 manual.

Download any/all the manuals and use them as you like.

Here is a direct link to the LT230 manual.....

Thank you. I actually downloaded them from your link a while ago but even after looking through both the transfer case and transmission manual for a couple hours I still can't find anything about the transmission output shaft. Would it be referred to by any other name? I've found the output flange but I thought that was something different.

check out the "trans & xfer" subdirectory. There you should find the " Zf4hp22-24 transmission.pdf " file. I think you are looking for the specs starting on page 44 of that file.

Thanks for that link. Maybe I'm missing something but I've looked through everything and I can't find the torque specs. I talked to a friend who is a mechanical engineer and he said probably 40-50 ft lbs would be the most I should do so I went with that. Just got everything back in.

I don't think so. I think I'm looking for transmission output shaft/spline bolt or transfer case input shaft/spline so unless it goes by a different name I don't think it's on that list. Thanks though.

Gotcha.
Is it the extension shaft?
How about this.

Discovery Workshop Manual, page 453, section 44, Service repair no - 44.22.04.
A search for "extension shaft" yielded eight results. Only one mention of torque spec. In the governor hub section.
