Question Crankshaft Position Sensor Install Tips?

Ok, gurus...any thoughts? I've only been able to find writeups/videos for replacing the sensor on the D2. It looks waaay tight in there. I can't even see where the sensor plug is (I lose it from the top in the engine bay). RAVE pic wasn't too helpful either, as there seems to be a protector plate on my engine that's not in their pic.

Plug in new sensor and let it dangle before mounting. Be dang sure every nut and spacer goes back on in exact position.

Thanks, Savannah. You always have much better shots than I can ever find .

Guess I'll put the truck up on ramps and see what that "random shield" in my pic is. I think the sensor is behind that...can't find any diagrams about how it comes off, so I think I'll just start poking.
