I picked up my 98 LE for 3400$ 120k miles, new paint on the top half, new tires..... no problems yet.......... knock on wood.

I got my 98 LSE for 400. 130k Didn't run. Needed a fuel pump(determined before the purchase), battery, fluids changed, tires, was leaking coolant, had a CEL, and the rear windows broke on the way home. So far I have less than 1500 invested including the price of the truck and its great for what it is. No longer leaks coolant, windows work, new TreadWrights, and all new fluids. Paint is faded and I'm still at war with the CEL but its down to 1 code from 5 but she runs strong and its a whole lot of fun.

If you are looking to accessorize your truck I have its best to just bide your time.
I got my SD rack for $150, rear ladder was a birthday present and my ARB bumper was $600 (I bought a whole truck for that price with the bumper on it and now I'm going to sell that truck)
Good things come to those who wait.
