The relay is a bit pricey and is a special order when you can find it. The relay idea would be an easy and enjoyable feature but not at the asking price.

 

yes the relay pricing makes no sense when nearly every relay is under $10 - with all of the relay mfg. bosch standard etc you would think someone would have a 5 pin that would be applicable for this use

 

It may have a 555 timer and/or some diodes in it. They call it a module, so I have doubts that it is a standard relay... i doubt anyone is ready to smash one with a hammer to look inside though.

Time to start looking at other late model vehicles that may have the same or similar part.
That relay screams German Engineering more than English.
Time to roll up the sleeves well beyond the shoulders to find this unicorn.
