Disco I Freeze Frame Data/Misfire help
I may be dense, but I cannot find a reference to decode the Freeze Frame Data. I am trying to track down a misfire at Idle problem, and these codes came up using my Faultmate MSV2. No clue what the Freeze Frame data means, and I couldn't find a reference in the Rave, this forum or Google search.
FREEZE FRAME DATA STORED WAS: 48,6B,E8,42,02,00,03,07,E9
Thanks for your help guys
THE GEMS FAULT CODE MEMORY CONTAINS CODES FOR THE FOLLOWING FAULTS -:
P0307, CYLINDER 7 MISFIRE DETECTED. P0300, RANDOM/MULTIPLE CYLINDER MISFIRE DETECTED. P0305, CYLINDER 5 MISFIRE DETECTED. P1316, MISFIRE CAUSING EXCESS EMISSIONS. FREEZE FRAME DATA STORED WAS: 48,6B,E8,42,02,00,03,07,E9
Thanks for your help guys

Thanks for Gems manual Savannah.
Spike - This is the '5 year mystery' truck you helped with the misfiring being related to the speed sensor or bad ECU.
After replacing the GEMS ECU, the truck ran great for 400 miles. Suddenly, the hesitation problem/misfiring problem came back. And it is also idling poorly occasionally, especially after highway driving and warming up. Oddly enough, the issue is appearing in Bank1 as I watch the short term fuel trim crank up. Historically, the problems were appearing in Bank 2.
Now I am really lost...

On my truck almost everytime I unplug the ECU then power to the ISV is lost, so I'm aware one or few of the terminals on the engine management harness is a bit loose/dirty. It has been cleaned and greased several times but it's more a band aid than a fix. To make it work again I plug-unplug and wiggle the ECU connectors until it starts whitout holding the gas pedal. I might replace the whole harness is I find one new or from a dry location where it hadn't sprayed with salty water for 20 years... I hope you'll find your misfiring problem as it might explain mine as well.

It's been five years since the last post, I'm sure it wasn't resolved. You should start a new thread where you reference this one so folks know the similarities or just keep that in mind the next time.
Anyways.... by you disconnecting and reconnecting the Molex it's actually doing more harm than good because it's wearing out the spring connections in the female side. You might have to grab one off a Pic N Pull or junk yard and reconnect that in order to get away from having so much fun.
