Did you check resistance on the coil pack? If all else fails install a distributor, they always work! Just kidding, good luck fixing your truck!

 

well i finally got my truck back it was the main ecu it was all wet and corroded $415 total bill runs like new thanks every one

 

Glad to read thet you problems are over.... untill you get the credit card bill, that is.
On the bright side, you now have a bunch of used working spare parts.
I hade a '99 d1 too, how's your fuel consumption? Can you get 300 miles on a full tank?
Maybe I need a new ECU too!
