i need help with my 2001 land rover discovery, most of the time it starts but then after being drivin for a bit it wont start just a click and nothing. it is not the battery. this only occurs once or twice a week please let me know if you have any ideas thanks.

 

Sounds like the starter to me. I had one on an old Bronco that wouldn't start after it had ben driven and got hot, until it totally cooled back down.

I would suggest you clean all your battery cables and grounds then go to your favorite auto part store and ask them to do a load test on the battery and alternaror.
It will show up real quick and most likely be a dirty cable or a bad battery.
