Question Discovery seat upholstery/re-upholstery or new foam?

Just wondering if anyone has re-upholstered their seats in a D1 as my cloth ones are getting a little too soft!

I figure the foam is probably at the point where it is deteriorating and the cloth might need to be replaced as well. I like the newer material used in the Discovery II G4 edition (not the seats, just the material), and was wondering where to find something similar.

Anyone have experience in with dealing with shops, or can estimate what it might be ball park?

Thanks

And another path is two passenger seats from bone yard for about $30 a piece. Passenger will fit driver side. You won't find good driver seats usually.

Savannah Buzz,

Too many of the yards have left the discoveries outside without front windshields... and we get a lot of rain here so those seats are pretty grimy and weathered. I am looking for places that re-upholster seats, but unfortunately seems that every few months another shop goes out of business

TOM R,

Did they just redo the leather for your Ram, or did they also re-foam it as well for support?

How about some heavy canvas expedition style seat covers?

Savannah Buzz, that might be an option... I was looking at the ExMoor Trim swatches last night and loved the G4 vinyl... very nice

Would you happen to have a link to what you mention?

Talking

Think I may go this route with replacement foam seat bases for the front seats at $90 a pop, that doesn't break the bank
